CMR specialise in Project Healthchecks and audits, comparing your project against others held in our database. We provide a detailed analysis of your projects and your organisation’s project management performance against other companies of your size and in your sector. All of the data is validated and a full presentation of the results is provided in order to facilitate the improvement process.

Assessment Centres

CMR recognise the importance of Assessment Centres in assessing candidates in competence frameworks vital to organisational success.We provide a number of tools to offer candidates and employees the opportunity to prove their capabilities and identify areas of comparative weakness.

Training Courses

We prepare tailored training courses for all the team in all project management topics either as a complete package or in specific modules to meet your needs, and we tailor these products to match your requirements. Our bespoke courses for companies map generic project life cycles to your company's approach. All of courses are founded on cutting edge research taken from over 100 projects, and are based on the principles of Bodies of Knowledge.

All our courses include all printed materials and handouts and a CD ROM with the course process chart, templates and links to good websites and resources.

Extranet

We have experience in the design and preparation of project extranets allowing better communications between the Project Team, and the ability to share information with selected partners. CMR will work with you to set up and train team members in the effective use of the extranet.

Workshop Facilitation

CMR provide experienced workshop facilitations for Risk, Value Engineering, or Team Building and Team Working Practices, assessing the right competences for all project staff and their teams. We work with you to ensure the workshop objectives have been achieved, with a full presentation and report concluding the findings.

We conduct organisational Maturity Assessments using proven methodologies and a data base of comparators. The report will illustrate priority areas for improvement against a peer group in your sector and associated action plans.

We compare your actual performance with your potential performance by working closely with you to review your outline methodology documents or process of project delivery and compare each element against the relevant bodies of knowledge. This enables us to highlight any gaps in your delivery process and the possible consequences of these gaps to your project success.

We have a short and long project review that both assess the project against 42 criteria for successful projects. Both are comprehensive but the long review also relates the project success to wider organisational impacts.  

The short review looks at interviewing the Project Manager and a review of the key documents, and the longer review carries out more extensive interviews with other key people involved in the projects.

Our final report sets out the findings as well as our recommendations to enhance the project success.

We are leading a number of research projects, working with different institutions and public bodies in areas such as Project Management and Sustainability, the outcome of this informs all areas of our work.
